Caddo Lake

Has anyone here done much catfishing on Caddo? If so, have you caught any blues, or all channels? I'm trying to find another lake close to home.

I will. I just need to fill a couple vacancies on Caddo to win a bet. I have someone who lives on Sandlin doing some recon for us. I figured you'd be the first and possible only one to reply to this. lol

I had a friend who used to fish. Over there but really only caught channels But he didn't use any shad only cheese.sorry couldn't help more

Yes ere are blues there. Very nice channels as well. You will also likely catch large bowfin on cut bait as well.

Here is a dark channel cat


Big bowfin (mean critters)




They have bass.


And gar....




And duck Dynasty looking people.

I know plenty of people that eat fish out of there. I just have never tried them.
i have fished all over that lake and it definitely is one everyone should be on.

They were good. The mercury after taste went away after a few days.

Maybe once a year. I have a trip coming up the first of June I think.
