I was thinking teams of two or three at most but still more than ok to fish by yourself. So if y'all wanna take a vote of opinion than please let me know. I have someone thinking of maybe becoming a sponsor. And yes all are welcome we wll all be in rookie class for first season.

One thing you might consider is going to a smaller limit of fish as it would be difficult to keep 5 solid fish alive from the bank along with transporting them to a weigh in site

Re: bank fishing tournaments. ... - 08/25/13 06:33 AM

I agree with that me and my buddy were talking about that exactly. Cause your right it's hard to keep them alive to weigh in. And the only way I know to keep them alive from the bank is to tie them all off at separate points with trot line. The only thing about this I disagree with the 5 fish stringer is a lot of people that want to get into the tournaments that aren't as well equipped or well knowledge that more experienced guys aren't going to be hauling in 5 large cats. Also on the same note I don't want any cats dying in are events. I believe in the weight rules.so that is something we are on dispute about. Please guys let me know your questions and opinions. I want people to see us bankers go to work!!!!

when and where would this be held? and yes it is quite hard for us bankers to get on 5 good fish in one trip well for me anyways

Its too hard to consistently catch fish to make a bank tournament worth fishing.... some lakes are very limited on bank access too

Re: bank fishing tournaments. ... - 08/25/13 06:12 PM

I agree catfishguy85 some lakes are limited on bank spots such as em lakes like these will either not be fished or the rules will be tweeked a lil for fair come out. And its hard to catch 3 good fish on some nights. But all catfish will be accounted for. You also got to remember its fishing every night is not a bombshell. And some nights you will only see a few channel or gar. Thats fishing boat or bank.

It is hard to get on 5 good fish I agree. The only reason were considering 5 is actually help people that arent getting on bigger fish. Boat were also thinking about going down to 3 just in case someone does get 5 good fish and try to transport then to weigh in I dont want any fish to die during transport. When has not been decided. Rules will have to be maid lakes picked that hold enough places for the count of people fishing the time of year vs the est population of fish to be targeted etc im hopping to kick off in September but not sure.

You guys might want to think about permits. On corp lakes etc if you have a group gathering they make you have a permit. They are free usually but you still have to go thru the process

I am in. I know Gvine and Lavon would both be good, with plenty of bank access and a good chance at some big fish. Lewisville/Ray Roberts could be in there as well

What if we weighed the fish as we caught them, write it down then release?

certain lakes will have special events that will be how there held.other lakes will have official weigh ins and others when available will have call in weigh ins where someone will come and weigh your fish and take a picture. all fish 8lbs and over will be released.
