Catfish Tournament Jug and Rod-nReel on Lake Belton Mar 31st, April1st

Redneck Spring Classic Catfish Tournament will be held on Mar 31st and April 1st. This is a fund raising and community get together for the community of Moffat. Jug tourney will be on Mar 31st. 50 hook limit, 2 person team,2 person legal limit.80% payout. $10.00 big fish pot. $5.00 rough fish pot. for more info on jug tourney contact Rick Smith 1-866-397-5934 or e-mail at rick@marineoutlet.com. Rod-nreel tournament will be held Sun april 1st. 5 fish weigh-in, 10 rod limit,2 person team. Fish supper will be held each day after weigh-in and contestants will recieve complimentary meal tickets. Registration will be held Fri March 30 at 6:00p.m. at Community Center in Moffat. All fishing will be confined to Lake Belton. This is going to be a laid back fun tournament and we invite all anglers to come amd enjoy the festivities. There is also a big fish pot for the rod-reel tournament. $10 per team and 100% payback. Also you may have a 3rd person on your team provided they are 16 and under or 65 or older.

Registration for rod-n-reel tourney will be at Gaines store on the east side of 36 bridge from 5-6 a.m. April 1st before start. You can also enter on Fri. night at Moffat Community Center. 6:00 p.m.

Not sure on how many teams but if you can make it you can register Fri. night at 6p.m. or for the rod tourney Sun morn. at Gaines store between 5-5:30 a.m. I'm guessing 10 - 20 teams for the rod tournament.

Registration and get -together will be at Moffat Community center on Fri. Food and drinks will be availible and you can register for both tournaments that night. A team auction will also be held for both divisions. Come on out and join the fun!

I just might change plans and make this one for r&r. Do fish have to be alive to be weighed in? Also what are the fishing hours?

Fishing hours for Sun. are 6-2 must be in weigh-in line by 3. Can still sign up in the morning at Gaines store on hwy 36 from 5-6a.m. I think they have 14-15 teams so far. Come on out and join the fun. 102 lb total won the jug tournament with a 27lber for big fish.

Dillard and Dillard. 18 teams showed up for this one. The folks at Moffat really did a great job on hosting their first tournament. Special thanks to David Coufal for putting this together,Rick Smith at Marine Outlet for his help and sponsorship and Jody from Central Texas Catfish for use of his equipment and for running the weigh-in. To all of the members of the Moffat Community Center Board, great food and hospitality. It will be an annual event so make your plans to be here next year.
