i will tell you the exact spot solely bc i am not picky about it, i want everyone to catch fish, we launched at pecan creek on lone oak road right past the 2nd bridge, its the only free ramp i know of on ray roberts, went out to my grandparents stocked tank and caught a bunch of sunfish the day before, froze them and then cut them up for bait, there is a point straight out maybe 1/2 a mile from the ramp, went around to the other side of that point maybe 150 to 200 yds offshore in 22-27 ft of water drifting, the fish were schooled up there, we caught 21 cats in about 4 hours, these were just the 2 biggest, we had a couple other bites that felt bigger than these but both broke off

we had a couple that were really dark like that, i usually don't see many like that

the dark ones have been in shallow water for awhile, turn dark shallow and light when they have been deep for awhile.

i have had very little luck on cats there. i'm glad to see that they are around. makes me want to keep trying for them.
