My mistake. I knew there was no limitations on size or number but I didn't realize it was a game fish.

What is a gasper goo? and I never catch mudcat/bull heads (don't know how/where really) so for bank fishing guess I'm stuck with shad/perch and some fiesta bought buffalo..... guess might catch buffalo but dont wanna spend one trip fishing for bait for the next trip.... too bad they don't like bologna lol

Freshwater drum. You can catch mudcats at nearly any neighborhood park pond. Worms tightlined on the bottom.

Re: bait for Blues? - 10/01/10 09:51 PM

A mudcat is a short stumpy looking catfish usually black, brown, almost gold at times. Rarely exceed 2 lbs. Big ol head and stumpy lil body. If there are ducks being fed consistently in a pond there will be mudcats under them eating the bread

Re: bait for Blues? - 10/01/10 10:37 PM

Any creek will have bullheads. Catch mine on beef or chicken liver and a small circle hook. Sureshot will get you some blues also.
