How big does it open up too? If its to big you will not be able to have any lines out without maybe getting tangled into it.

6ft I thought about it being on about a 6ft rope right at the boat.

Don't waste your cash on that one, unless you plan on fishing during a hurricane, way toooo much IMHO !
