Made my own punch bait and don't won't to pick catails and wait on them to be ready to use. This stuff is ready to go now just need the last ingredient.

Try using dryer lint. Works just as good.

go to hobby lobby.. they have a rope that you use for curtains that is cotton strands.. cut the outside layer and it comes apart..kind of looks like bunny fur when you pull it apart..it works great for punch bait

Thank Ya'll. I like the cotton cord idea. The dryer lint might work but it has scents on it.

The scent from the dryer lint sure does help with the cats. It gives the stinkbait a little sweet smell. Never has hurt my fishing. If your worried about scent, just soak it in water for about a day. It will come out. Instead of cattails, you can use the tops of Pompus grass. It has the same fiber make up as cattails in it's top.

I would contact a local taxidermist or a cat/dog groomer and have them save you some fur from a shave job. They must have tons of that stuff they would love to get rid of.
