GRAPEVINE HOG

Went out drifting with RiverRat1973 and caught this hog!!! we guess her at about 40LBS....took this pic and watched her swim away!

That pic turned out fairly decent actually. I am impressed. Good to fish with you yet again Dustin. That fish gives me lots of hope for the winter out there - I know that lake pretty well and know that fish will be quite a bit heavier come winter.

I should have gone out with you guys last night. But I got to work on time for the first time in a while today.

Y'all got some small 4-wheeler electric winches mounted on Ugly sticks??? lol... Someone was pumpin & winding. I bet that ole blue cat had that rod doubled up. AWESOME fish man!!!!!! I wanna put my wife the "Bass Fisher" on one of them big ole blues one day. Congrats & keep the pics comin man. TIGHT LINES!!!!

Thats what I was thinking. Imagine that fish also is dwarfed int he pic by the fact that DAMFISHERMAN is 6 foot 7!. Thats atleast a 50 pound fish. Riverrat, I think you should have the scale recalibrated bro. Im no expert so I could be wrong. But that fish looks bigger than 37#

Landon - I think you might be right but I am not too sure. Dustin and I both guessed the fish at that weight before we weighed it. I would think the lake record will fall this winter if not before then. Like I said before, I caught numberous 30s out there last winter and they only got bigger in the last year.

Landon - also look at the head on that thing. The head is huge and the rest of the body is much skinnier. In the winter I think that fish would have pushed 50 with all the winter fat on it.

That is still a huge fish for this time of year. I'm not knocking your equipment by the way. I'm just saying it LOOKS like a much bigger fish.

I know you arent knocking it. You might want to use that scale one of these days when you get out with me again. We need to plan a time to go and make it happen. Maybe another Friday night sometime soon.
