Lake Conroe Catfish Help - 09/08/22 05:59 PM
Hi everyone, i've been lurking for a while but this is my first post here. I have an old 15ft fiberglass Unk Boat with a 1974 mercury.
I mainly have fished smaller ponds and saltwater so larger lakes are a little different for me.
Recently I have been trying to catch catfish on lake Conroe and not having a lot of luck. I did well over the spawn with worms and chad just throwing against bulkheads and grass on the north side.
This past weekend I fished with worms, cut bluegill, and garlic chicken. I tried fishing under a cork and Carolina rigging the bottom anywhere from 8 - 30ft.
Are the fish just moving slow? Should I try chumming with range cubes or wet dog food? Try different spots?
Any Advice is apricated.
