Late start because of rain in earlier forecast but this AM it was out so my friend Vagabond Varnell came to "Get The Blues" he managed a 25 fish limit from 8:30 until noon.

Serious question. How do you manage line control in these 20 plus winds? I get you can double anchor, and hold the boat in position, but how do you manage getting the line control, during waves without dragging the weights across the bottom, and slacking the line continually? I don't think these were all caught trolling against the wind.....I could be wrong though.

I use power poles two of em. I don't know how to troll against the wind. No sir I was sitting still in water less than 2' deep probably 6 inches less than two feet. I was fishing by myself today and managed to get 26 fish by 11 AM, threw a channel back to put me at a limit of 25. I don't keep or eat channels, to each there own. I had a triple on right off the bat but only managed to land two I have only two hands. Later I had another triple but somehow managed to put em all three in the boat. I guess you could say "I Got The Blues". The photo of todays catch has my friend Pete Evans standing in front off the table. All fish caught on rod&reel using fresh dead shad. It's just fishing and it don't get any easier than it is right now.

My friend James Hunt came today and we was on the bite early and quick, it died just like it started. Moved twice and then back to the second spot and my anchor cleat pulled loose. end of the outing. Did I mention it was rough out today. Managed 19 blues by 10;30. [Linked Image]
