Alright guys. I haven't ever targeted Blues on this lake before, and am going to give it a go this weekend. Staying at a friends lake house over by Sandy Beach on the peninsula. Would prefer to drift over anchoring. Anyone have and general pointers for areas to look at this time of year?

Go up river, forget about drifting unless you have tons of tackle to donate .

How far up? About the furtherest I typically go is Costello island

Go up in the brazos just across from rock creek camp and go up river a couple miles and work the flats off of the channel with fresh shad .
