Catfishing aquilla or cedar creek - 01/06/22 02:50 AM

Looking to put out some jug lines on either cedar creek or aquilla. Have a bunch of frozen perch for cutbait. I have a 12ft john boat and 55lb thrust trolling motor. I live in foreston. I was wondering what lake yall
l would r eecomend and what area at this time of year. Any info would be greatly apreciated

Aquilla is a great sleeper catfish lake. The majority of guys on it are fishing for Crappie, but it holds some very nice Blues.

I have fished Aquilla several times with no luck. Not sure what I am doing wrong. On a side note the ramp are pack the times I been out. Also be careful at old school local meth heads with steal anything they can.

Go Deep! Probably allready know this, but Scatter perpedicular to the wind. Hopefully to target different depths along a ledge, if the wind will work right. If you dont have Navionics on your phone. Its cheap. Shows the underwater contuours..... Im no pro by any means. But, that is what I like doing.

Hey guys, how is the ramp at Old School with the lake being almost 2 feet low? Still accessible?

use Dairy Hill. Old School is more commonly used for theft.

Your not wrong about Old School, which is sad because it’s a nice ramp. I absolutely hate worrying about my truck there.
