Lavon October 30th - 10/30/21 07:23 PM

Well the picture in the post needs no words but I do want to report on the conditions today. Weather was great, could have used a little more wind. Hard to believe after all we had last week it died down late this morning to pretty much dead calm. Surface temp was in the mid 60s this morning, warmed to about 68 by the time we got off the water around 12:30. The fish are stacking up. Saw good numbers of good size fish, right where they should've been, North end. Even with all the north wind this past week they were up at the North end of the lake. I caught fish from 30 feet deep to 4 feet deep. Best quality and quantity was in 20 to 25.

I think we ended the morning with 12 fish??? Big fish was a 22. Wyatt got his new personal best with this very nice 18! Where was that last weekend? Sheesh! Also had a 10 and a good assortment of 5 to 8 pounders. No dinks really. All fish were pretty decent...

Excellent, and well done!

I fished the same lake same day, but made the mistake of not heading north, instead fishing the usual haunts I had been in transition. Nothing, nada.

Onward and upward (north)!

Catfish Tim strikes again and way to go Wyatt the Riot! Love watching those boys tangle with big fish! This season is gonna be fun now that the Texas Tornadoes are big enough to start tangling with bigger fish! 🌪🎣🌪
