Slow but good day on Cedar Creek

Slow but good day on Cedar Creek - 03/20/21 09:47 PM

Had a slow day chasing blues, but had my 79 yr old Dad, wife and 14 yr old son... so was a GOOD Day.

Found bait in 25', but not marking any fish around the bait. Knew it was going to be sunny and light wind, so headed north. Started in 20', caught a 5 lb about 20 min in. Hour later, nothing else. Moved up to about 14, drifting shallower, and my Dad caught a 11.5 lb fish. Cool thing about this was I had carried a spinning rod/reel I had gotten from his Dad 25 years ago. Was his Musky rod. Had been in storage for a long time. Another 30 min up to 8' and nothing.

Moved down the lake to 25', lot of bait. Half hour and son had a 4 lb fish. Nothing else. Moved to another creek, 12' down to 6', and wife caught a 3 lb. 7 hours... slow but priceless day. Turned them all lose today. Freezer is in good shape right now.

But... where are the fish? My brother and nephew get her tonight for a couple days... really would like to find a few more.

Always appreciate help!

Ken
