Do some cats stay in the river through the winter? That’s where I normally go in the spring. Just wasn’t sure if there are resident cats that stay all winter

They will move and follow the shad and bait fish until it is time to spawn.

I’m sure some get stuck below the spillway at lavon and are there all year, assuming that’s what you mean by “the river”, but that only has fish when the gates are open and the water is flowing.

Gonna try for some Flatties on trot lines this year. Been years since I fished Ray hubbard
