Drifting Lake Lavon

Drifting Lake Lavon - 12/11/20 02:14 AM

My son and I finally got to go fishing yesterday on Lavon Lake. Caught mainly small blues, but did manage to land a 4 lb and a 22.5 lb blue cats. Was a sunny day, 48 degrees to begin the day and was in the lower 70’s when we headed for the house. The wind was light all morning and just about quit blowing around 1pm.

I love Lake Lavon! I live in McKinney and I used to keep my boat on Tawakoni. Too far away to use it as much as I'd like to. So, we moved to Lavon and the fishing has been soo good. I'm in my third year fishing out of Collin Park Marina. My PB is 56, my PB on Lavon is 51. I also have a 41 and lots of 20s and 30s. I usually take my daughter or one of my grandsons and we have made some great memories on the water. Picture is of my 51 caught Oct 4th, 2020. Any chance you get to go fishing with your kids is an opportunity to make memories...
