1st time fishing RH for catfish on Sunday. Doing chum and punchbait. What kind of water do I need to be looking for? And, North or South of 1-30? Any help much appreciated. Thank you.

I caught some at lake Arlington tonight with Stubbys in 12 ft of water. It depends on the lake. I haven't catfished Hubbarb but once. They have nice size cats but I kept catching toddlers fishing the timber out from the 66 public boat ramp. But that was summer. It may be better in the timber now

Thanks for the tips folks. I will stop back by the forum Saturday and Sunday early to see if anyone else has some info before we head out there. Thanks again.

Head north and get in the timber between Miller Rd and train tracks.

I would suggest the far north end at the mouth of the creek from lavon.

Are you talking right where the river spills into Ray Hubbard?

Catfish trip cancelled this morning as fishing partner says he was puking this morning. Blamed it on bad tacos..... Will be going out out later today or next weekend. Will check back here on the forum. Thanks to all those that responded.
The old “I ate a bad Taco” excuse! I’ve heard that one plenty of times. Seems to happen a lot to guys that drank Whisky the night before. Have used that one a time or two myself...
Hello Tom.
If you figure it out I would love to talk to you. We tried drifting around the iron house point and had 2 bites all day. We've been going out pretty regularly but haven't really figured it out yet.

Ended up working on a project all week here at the house. Ray Hubbard is still the next catfishing stop whenever I get around to it. Might be a tad windy this weekend.......
