Don’t ever miss an opportunity

Don’t ever miss an opportunity - 10/21/20 03:26 AM

After finding out today about Scotty AKA HumanSeine’s passing, I have been thinking. I just went back and read several PM’s he sent about going fishing , meeting up at Stubby’s and just shooting the breeze. Had several phone and text conversations with him, but only actually met him in person briefly by accident at a convenience store in Alba. I believe Scotty was just looking for someone to talk to and hang out with occasionally. Maybe we need to start looking a little more into what hints others are throwing at us. I know we all have busy lives, however, maybe we need to step back and just try to be a little more available for others. RIP my friend,
Shannon

Just got off the phone with an old friend and I took your advice Shannon and made plans to take him and his 10yr old boy on a fishing adventure next month. Neither one has caught fish over 2 lbs so hopefully I can put em on something big and burn a good memory into their brains...

Insightful post Shannon. The older you get, the more you think about things like this.

This Spring Mama and I made a trip too Lake Fork, booked a trip with Cameron Burnett..

That morning before we launched, we were having breakfast at Tiffany's. Scotty aka Humanseine, I didn't know that. Found out later in the Lake Fork Marina

Just started up a conversation about Fishing, we talked in the restaurant and the Marina. That's when he told me his TFF Handle. Down too earth guy that just wanted some fishing buddy's frown would get in trouble by his daughter if he went out by hisself

RIP Scotty

Yes, sadly we miss chances most every day. If we open just a bit, it can open the dopors to greater doors not even imaginable.

We just finished watching "Fringe" (a FOX TV sci-fi show that ran for 5 years from 2008 thru 2013). As those actors & others reflected, the reason for its popularity was due to the tremendous amount of this Finge team's characteristics- Love, compassion, determination, abiility to change, imaginatuion, self-sacrifice, and Hope. And of course, learning to always keep an open mind in order to adapt or understand, in order to give mankind the best possible future. In case you missed it, Leonard Nimoy is in it from time to time. It is available on DVD.

So as you step thru each day ahead, become aware, share, and remember that you are, in a sense, a book, awaiting somone to read you. So be sure & make it a good read. You DO make a difference.

What are you waiting for? Today is never too late. Remember that ALL Time is ONE. Fishing can open the myriad of possibilities.

I read his posts all the time. Never met or talked to him. I always thought that he sounded like a guy that I would enjoy fishing with. Now, I will never get the chance.
Shannon, you are right. Never pass up an opportunity. It may not knock again.
We have to get together Shannon, I have fished a number of times with Stubby, always fun, and I know we would have a great time too. Gusty BTW- I just got back to Fork from another summer in Minnesota. Stubby has my number.
