lake limestone

finely getting back on the lake last time I was fishing was in March. I was on the uper part of the lake and was caught in a wind and was set down on a stump put a hole in the bottom the boat. we caught put 13 or so in the boat last time. Now I got an other boat center console and can't wait to get it all slimed up. Normaly I can put close to 30 12-15in fish in the boat. Will update when I get back

Keep us updated! I am hoping to get back in the swing of things by the Fall. If not, then I will shoot for next Spring. I run out of Running Branch Marina into the Running Branch fork. Down at the bottom of the lake, high winds from the north can be very treacherous, speaking of 3 to 4 feet waves. If I am in the 12 footer, I won't probably venture out past the pumping station at the Near Corner (where the RB fork hits the bottom of the lake).

we put on the lake around 530. up in the upper part of the main lake I dont know what ramp it is called fishing the bank in 2-4ft of water he put I belie it was 34 in the boat 12-16in. on my homemade cheese bait I dont know how many dinks but it was a lot I never fish passed the power lines. before alway mean to I just never doo if you ever want to meet up I wold make the drive I think lake limestone is probable one of the best keep secret lake you hardly ever see many boat on it I wanted to tray to fish for some whites but my daughter wanted to go home

My quest is to finally catch "The Giant" (a very big Op), but you cannot beat the taste of the Blues that come from Lake Limestone. Over the years, I have found that the prime size is about 14 pound Blues. I skin & cut them up (not filet. When you shave the back straps off the bone, you can lay them down to cut figure "8" or "B" steaks. The meat looks sort of translucent with a tad bit of rainbow. When you bread them just right & deep fry them in Mrs. Tuckers, the outer is not quite crisp, but slightly near it. But as you open a steak up, it literally flakes apart. Dip the hot pieces into ice cold Del Monte ketchup. Of course, the smaller Blues are super, but the 14 pounders are prime eating, nothing like it. Bigger Blues are great on the grill with Crisco grill spray & hickory chips mixed in with charcoal, as to background flavor. Add some Tony's Creole seasoning. Then dip into ice cold Del Monte ketchup.

Yes, sometimes when the dinks are biting, they are in herds. For up at the top end, for big Yellows, below the bridge, head into Big Creek.

I am hoping to finally supersede the health problems & get back to do a little more fishing before I have to finish my research (and culminate it into a book) on the comet (the Hopi Blue Star Kachina, the 9th & final sign), Mars & its moon Phobos (the Night of the Bleeding Stars).

I tried looking up Browsers, but it ask if I meant Browders Marina Lake Limestone. It would never pull up anything, or even a bit of info.

Can I ask where Browders Marina is, on Lake Limestone? Just wondering, as I just found that Running Branch Marina website did not pull up last night. I have not touched base with Nancy or Darrell since last March, due to my medical problems. Nancy had gotten really sick & was in bad health.

Mom is from Groesbeck & said there were some Browders that lived there.

Hmm, after further investigation, it seems I went to the old Web-dress last night, not the newer one at <http://runningbranch.com/>. And it seems Browders Marina is the one at Lake Limerstone Campground, if I read correctly.

is that cove coming out of running branch stumpy?

Yes, it is (as to stumps), but if you know the route to take to avoid them, it's OK, in the 15 minute "putt-putt" to pass the No Wake Zone buoys. Lots of Yellows amidst those stumps, including "The Giant". I know of one 90 pounder, plus two at 62 pounds each, and the biggest of mine so far was 57 pounds. But "The Giant" will dwarf them all.

The company that bought Herman's Hideway 10 plus years or so ago, used their setup for company parties & such. They had a humongous 3 tier pontoon boat. And they were having problems, so I told them to follow me to the end of the No Wake Zone & from there, which path to take, to finally clear any stumps. They made it out to deeper waters & back to their camp with no problems.
