Vacuum sealed shad

Probably been asked before but has anyone tried
vacuum sealing shad as opposed to just freezer
bag shad and is it worth doing?

I used to use ziploc vacuum bags. It seemed to work well. I don't know with the recent cold snap but in general you should not have to do it this time of year.
