Catfish thread

Not sure this post belongs in catfish section. I went fishing yesterday and caught 2 nice catfish. Since my catfishing has been less than par I equipped my boat with minnows and crappie jigs. So I catch two huge sandbass, 2 largemouths bass and a huge perch. Yes I caught about 10 nice crappie. I am curious if my cubes bring in other species of fish or maybe I am fishing too close to Cameron’s crappie brush. It is nice to catch fish and yes the other species do taste very good.

Well they are cruising the shallows already, hooked and lost a ten pounder this morning. Got him right to the edge and he broke off, Crappie set up with cheap 4 pound test but is was a good fight!

Lol back 40 years ago I had a girlfriend with a fish tank and a cat. Never saw the cat get his rod out but he sure wanted the fish. Now my grandson got a Beta at his house in Chicago and the four year old named the fish Bowser. He went fishing with me one time and I let him reel in a few fish.
