Fork transducer issues

Fork transducer issues - 01/24/20 06:10 AM

I continue to tear up my transducers on my boat I have broken two skimmers and ripped my side view completely off. Yes I fish in stumps for catfish. I had a friend make me a heavy duty spring welded on a bracket to mount my skimmer on and it has worked well in saving those transducers from breaking. I have not replaced the large side view transducer because I just don’t want to spend the money yet. I will be replacing it as it does come in handy when looking for new fish. Now range cubes level the field for myself and others because the fish congregate on the cubes I pour out. Anyone have any solution to breaking and tearing up of side view transducers ?

Looks like a nifty bit of hardware. Know anyone who's used it?

Most bass boats use a shoot thru transducer (2d only) and mount their imaging transducer on the jack plate. Shoot thru transducers may or may not work on a catfish boat, depends how much boat it has between it and the water
