Spring Catfishing?

We are going fishing early (March) for bass and crappie. Hopefully they have come in shallow.

When the bass and crappie are in spawn, what depth/structure should we target catfish? Deep, shallow?

Essentially, I would consider this to be Pre-Spawn time for catfish. Where do they hang out, waiting for the water to warm?

I catch catfish all the time during the crappie spawn on minnows. But depending on the lake you are going to, I think early March is too early for spawning crappie
