Ditch Pickle Heaven

Took a short drive to OH Ivie yesterday looking for some whisker fish. Took a good while to find bait but eventually found some. Set up semi shallow on a deep ledge near a creek channel to have a few choices. Never in my life have I caught so many LMB on cut shad. They would hit as soon as you threw out a bait. It was pretty aggravating!! Next time I’ll try some different water

Good stuff! Put this in the bass section to rile up those self righteous bass are king and catfish are trash people.

I have been catching at least one LMB on my last several trips on cut shad on the bottom.

It happens often enough that if someone wanted to target bass doing that...well you could pick worse options.

Everything in the lake eats shad so no surprise really. I havr no issues with bass guys fir the most part. I got as bass guide at fork that wants catfish for his freezer and offered to trade trips with me. I told him i woukd take him catfishing and did not care much about catchingvthe green ones. Once you commit to catfish you get accustomed to catching fish.lol

Hey Im a bass guy. Im çatfishing curious though.

I was a bass guy for 45 years but health does not allow me to throw my DD22 100 times an hour for 10 hours every day any longer. That tennis elbow hurts and the crushed vertebrae does not help either. I got the vertebrae replaced with a titanium models so no pain is gain. Catfishing is just more relaxed style of fishing plus i like to clean and fry fish.
