I have never fished cats with maggots and decided to try in my creek. I have planned to use two rods but could use only one. 10-15 inches canal cats attacked the maggots almost continuously. Honestly, I did not know that my shallow creek contains so many canal cats because they ignored shad baits which I used for blues. Using maggots, I also caught several carps approximately the same size. I think it will be fun fishing for my grandchildren when they come.
