Potential Lake Record for Palo Pinto Lake - 06/05/18 02:27 PM
Had a good weekend, hooked a big blue on Lake Palo Pinto, these fish were introduced to the lake back in 2007 and the current recorded record is 21.86 in 2015 by a friend Jake Price...I didn't have the fish weighed due to the drive we would have had to make with her, and i didnt want to jeopardize the health of the fish...I'm guessing she is close to 30# (give or take) and around 10yrs old, she survived a massive drought when the lake was down close to 10% comasity a few years back
for the Yellow, she was caught 3 hrs later...close to the same weight...guessing in the 30's (give or take)
Both fish were caught on rod and reels using cut shad....Blue was in 4-8' and Yellow was in 15-20'
Both fish are still swimming today.
