Anybody use golden shiner for catfish? Caught some and gonna try them out

I have used them a lot, my pond is slammed with them and have done good with them live and as cut bait

I've never caught any but I would definitely use them if I had them. Especially if they were alive.

I got them out of a small pond while fishing for bluegill

Had my best night rod-n-reeling for flatheads w some just like that maybe a little bigger. River was on a slight rise, caught a 5 and a 6 about 9 p.m.ish, then hooked into a runaway freight train shortly after, went 40. fishing in knee deep water.

I used to try them because we have a tank chalk full of em. We'd catch them on worms while catching perch for flathead bait. I had a hard time keeping them alive in that heat, though. Bet big bed Bass would go bonkers over em.

Yeah they're shallow. I was fishing 6 to 7 feet of water
