Since it warmed up I took my father in-law out for some bird roost fishing since he prefers numbers over size. Thick fog made for perfect conditions . Water temp was 44 when we started and they seemed to want the squid we used for bait on a weightless hook rather than under a cork. They seem to swallow a lot of hooks today some times they wouldn't move the rod and you would pick it up a fish was on the other end. We boxed 43 blues to seven pounds and threw at least 15 back. I tagged and released a 10.5 lb. blue for my first tagged fish on Livingston for TXTCA. We finished off with BBQ sandwich on the way home.
