Took my ole friend Shadslinger on a roost fishing trip this morning. It was a cool 37 at launch time for the 7 mile trip to the roosts but we bundled up good and took it easy .It was solid action all morning with fish swallow the baits. We filled up a cooler and a floor compartment with 54 blues most fish 4-6 lbs and several 7-8.5 lbs. Fish caught from 3.5 ft to 12 ft some under a cork but most free lining squid. We made a short drift later and caught a couple 8-10 lbs. before the rain started up and sent us in. Another great day on the water with Loy.

Donated to a friend for a New Years fish fry and he cleaned them and ended up with a full 5 gallon bucket of fillets. My kind of trip LOL.

Yes , there is one here in Houston , I also buy Koi Carp for cut bait they have them live . They won’t let you take them alive so I just have them knock them in the head and ice them down .
They make good drifting bait .
