Fishing Richland Chambers Lake during the winter

Fishing Richland Chambers Lake during the winter - 12/06/17 12:05 AM

Like most winters here on Richland Chambers fishing is usually slow.

The one difference this year in my opinion is that it's not just dead slow.
We can catch a few fish! The catfish and sandbass are offering some corporation.

So that's kind of how I'm running it catching a few catfish and sandbass to make a pretty good box of fish.

I'm catching the catfish on drop offs from 24ft. to 40ft of water some days most of the time using shad.

The sandbass are almost like ghost fish now they could be in depths of 17ft to 30ft.  and most days they really don't want to bite until we pester them enough to catch a few.

This time of the year it's about making lasting memories!

I've fished a few times with Bob Holmes and a slow day to him is a good day to most.
