Brown Spots - 05/06/20 07:14 PM
End of last summer I started getting round brown dead patches in my San Augustine grass and I have no idea what it was?
Anyone know what it might be and what I could use to put down to prevent it again this year?

Yes, but have had dogs since this house was built and never any issues?

Chinch bugs. Sevin dust. I think overwatering causes it.

Typically it's a little early for Chinch Bugs, but I wouldn't rule it out. My bet is it's a fungus. TARR, Brown Patch, Grey Leaf Spot. If you can post some good pics overall and some close up's of the blades infected, Roller22 or Turf Dawg will probably know what it is..

Would need pictures but typically brown areas around hard surfaces (sidewalks driveways curbs etc) in summer is chinch bugs. In lawn areas in the fall it’s generally large patch
