Lake Fork Anglers 5 fish limit results from 7.28.22 out of the SRA Park - 07/28/22 07:58 PM

It was blowing pretty good out of the south at registration and never really got better during the morning. But despite that the fish were biting for most. And some good ones too. Lots of small slots were caught along with a couple of bigger fish.

But the lake level is starting to be a problem. Down almost 7' right now and losing an inch every day. Without some really big rain event the lake will probably be down 8-9 fee by the fall. NOT GOOD!

All fish 10" and up are keepers. Only the best 5 count.

Boaters

First Place went to Dennis Bubnas of Lake Fork with 4 bass for 20.70 LB with the 7.15 LB boater lunker.
Second Place went to Randy Bunch of Lake Fork with 5 bass for 20.30 LB with a 4.49 LB lunker.
Third Place went to Bill Ailes of Sulphur Springs with 2 bass for 9.56 LB. with a 6.40 LB lunker.
Fourth Place went to Robert Gaylor of Lake Fork with 3 bass for 8.93 LB with a 3.78 LB lunker.

Fifth Place went to Bruce Allen of Lake Fork with 2 bass for 3.22 LB with a 1.77 LB Lunker caught on a big worm.

This week we managed 45 keepers with 5 skunks.

So, you'd like to fish at Lake Fork but don't really have the $500 for a guide. You can come and fish with us for a $20 entry fee and a $20 donation for your boater. Unless you are a boater. Annual dues are also $20. Our group of boaters will be able to put you on fish most of the time.

The LFA fishes every Thursday except T-Day and Christmas on 2 different formats. A 5 fish limit we call LFA and a MLF style format where every fish counts, we call Hard Core, 3 special tournaments and an end of year dinner. We are a club of 53+ seniors (Mostly) and are very liberal on members being for off vacations and medical issues.

Right now, we are looking for more Co-Anglers.

If it wasn’t for the slot I could have one the McDonald’s Big Bass Splash one year. My best 5 averaged just under 8lbs.

Well I say that, someone else might have had a better 5, but I was on fire

The Sealy tournaments are a ONE fish affair. Only your biggest is brought to the scale.

We are very happy with our slot.
