RHBC Palestine results and pictures!

The Ray Hubbard Bass Club held our fourth members only tournament of 2021 this past Saturday May 22 on Lake Palestine. This was the makeup date for our February tournament that was postponed by the Great Freeze of 2021. The weatherman predicted rain and thunderstorms most of the day but lucky for us he was completely wrong. Cloudy skies and a little sprinkle made for great fishing weather. 24 boats came out to fish and the fishing was pretty good. 10 limits were weighed in and only two zeroes. At the end of the day, the team of Chris Atkinson and myself came out on top with a bag of 20.12 pounds. That included the big bass of the tournament, a 6.75 toad. Chris Lewis had one for an adjusted 2.27



Kenny Bunch and Matt Jackson had three for 4.66 with a big bass of 2.20. I guarantee there was some fun had out there though



Tommy and Danny Yates with three for 5.95



TD Paul Spann and Bill Gammons weighed four for 7.22



Brian Brooks and Steve Parrish had three for 7.79



That included a nice 4.16 kicker



James and Shellye Crawford with three for 8.00 even



Clark Crenshaw and Billy Wilson had three for 8.04



Jim Phillips and Randy Bridges weighed three for 9.46 that included a 6.37 kicker that just missed big bass

Preston Smith and David Horton had a limit for 9.94



Vince Hoff and Ethan Cole had four for 10.70



Taylor Gauntt and Chad Richart weighed five for 11.60. Apologies for the picture as some moisture got in the camera and blurred it



Josh Mulkey and Tim Havins with another good tournament. Their limit weighed 11.86



Jay and Garrett Browne had a limit that weighed an adjusted 12.34 and included a beautiful 5.07 big bass



David Mulkey and Mike Parkes with another good finish with five for 12.40




Finishing fifth but camera shy were Jerry Brown and Jason Hunnicutt with five for 12.79


Fourth place went to Ronnie Manning and Capp Peace with four fish for 12.87



Third place went to Bodee Landauer and JT Walker with a solid bag that weighed 13.68



Getting second place fishing solo was Jeremy McLeroy with a great limit that went 17.15 and included a 5.04 kicker



Here are your winners, Chris Atkinson and myself. Any time you weigh a 20 pound bag you had a fun day. Our five went 20.12



Big bass of the event was a 6.75. Chris caught it on a frog and the strike was awesome!
