RHBC Monthly Meeting! Thursday May 6th! - 05/03/21 12:21 AM
The Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be having our third meeting of 2021 this Thursday night May 6th. We will be meeting at Primos Restaurant in the same complex as Bass Pro Shops in Garland. We will get started at 7:00PM. We will be taking memberships for 2021. Membership costs $30.00 and it includes your entire immediate family. If you will be a new member, you must attend the meeting to join. Remember we have reinstated meeting points. Meeting attendance counts as 10 AOY points. Other topics include:
Results from last months tournaments at Lake Texoma and the RHBC Open on Ray Hubbard. If you caught them, be prepared to tell us how. We will talk about our tournament this coming Saturday on Lake Tawakoni. We will go out of Sky Point RV park ramp and fish 6:05-3:00. Full details will be posted here in the Bass Clubs section. We will also go over details of our second May tournament, our makeup date for Lake Palestine. We will do registration and livewell check at Lake Palestine Resort. Full details of that will also be posted here.
We will choose a finishing times for our June tournament on Lake Bridgeport on June 12th. We also have to choose a ramp to run Bridgeport out of so please bring your knowledge of the lake with you as many of us have not been there. Also any info on local lodging for the area would be helpful.
Remember to qualify for the AOY, and the Club Championship in November you must fish 5 of 9 members only tournaments and also participate in a Community Event. Our signature Community Event of course is Fish For A Cure coming up on Sunday October 31. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society. We will discuss FFAC and our first committee meeting and things that have been discussed for this years event. We need volunteers to bring this event back to where we were in 2019 pre Covid. We got huge news this week, Academy Sports and Outdoors is our first major sponsor and will be writing a check to the American Cancer Society for $5,000.00 for our event! Thank you Academy!
