Lake Fork Anglers 5 fish limit results from 3.11.21 out of the Minnow Bucket - 03/11/21 11:38 PM

First time this year where we were not wearing 3 layers and long underwear. Started out in the mid 60's with clouds and heavy winds. Apparently can't have everything.
Water temps in the mid 60's. Saw some fish chasing bait on the surface. And the crappie were biting as well.
On Saturday B.A.S.S. is putting on a kayak tournament and the little boats were everywhere. It is also a paper tournament like ours except that they measure the fish and add up the inches to declare winners. They take pictures of their fish on the measuring boards.

All fish 10" and up are keepers. Only the best 5 count.

Boaters

First Place went to Jim DeVore of Arizona with 5 bass for 13.69 LB.with a 3.09 LB Lunker
.Second Place went to Tim Gold of Mineola with 5bass for 8.90 LB.with a 3.41 LB Lunker
Third Place went to Robert Gaylor of Lake Fork 3 bass for 6.51 LB. with the 3.95 LB boater lunker tie
Fourth Place went to Bi;; Ailes of Sulphur Springs with 3 bass for 6.35 LB with a 1.63 LB Lunker.
Fifth Place went to Jack White of Farmers Branch with 3 bass for 6.02 LB with the 3.95 LB boater lunker tie

.
Co-Anglers

First Place went to Greg Geisler of Lake Fork with 3 bass for 8.90 with the co-angler lunker of 4.84 LB
Second Place went to Ken Kielbas of Arlington with 2 bass for 4.61 LB with a 2.36 LB lunker..
Third Place went to Jimmy Bright of Frisco with 4 bass for 4.46 LB. with the lunker of 1.45 LB.
Fourth Place went to Bob Lambert of Lake Fork with 2 bass for 3.76 LB. with a 2.36 LB lunker.
Fifth Place went to John Berech of Garland with 3 bass for 3.38 LB with a 1.41 LB lunker.

We caught 55 keepers today with 5 anglers skunking again. It looked like a perfect day for fishing, except for the wind, but it turned out to be hard.

The LFA fishes every Thursday except T-Day and Christmas on 2 different formats. A 5 fish limit we call LFA and a MLF style format where every fish counts we call Hard Core, 3 special tournaments and an end of year dinner. We are a club of 54+ seniors (Mostly) and are very liberal on members being for off vacations and medical issues. Even though we are practicing social distancing and wearing masks, we have about 20 sitting out from Covid exposure,

Right now we are looking for more co-anglers. Bring your face mask, tackle and life vest and get to go out on Lake Fork for far less than you'd pay for a guide.
