**New**Weatherford Bass Club

Hey fellas, starting a new bass club based out of Weatherford. Its going to be a little different than most, but will be a good time. It is in the very early stages of getting going but we will be putting on the first meeting very soon to start getting everything lined out and ready to fish beginning in November (hopefully). Here is how this will go...

One club tournament a month. Open tournaments periodically. For the CLUB tournaments - Friday afternoon before the tournament day, we will do a facebook live drawing of what lake the tournament will be held at (selected from a list of lakes voted on prior to the season). Show up the next morning and fish. No prefishing/practice. Everyone shows up on level playing field (as level as you can get). The Open tournaments will still be announced with as much notice ahead of time as possible. The first meeting will provide additional information such as rules, club dues, tournament entry fees, etc. From talking to several people, it sounds like there are several interested in this somewhat unconventional tournament club. 1st Meeting
October 13th at 6pm at the restaurant at the marina. The owner would like to host the club meetings (depending on the size of the club). Anyone interested, come join us and see if you would like to give it a try.

This seems to have a pretty good amount of people interested which is awesome. Those of you that are planning to attend the first meeting, if you wouldnt mind RSVP on here, PM, Facebook, message, or text. I am needing a rough headcount to make sure we will have enough room at the restaurant.

How many people showed up?

25 ish. Around 15-20 more were unable to make the first meeting. Our first tournament is Nov 7. Drawing on FB live at 6pm on the 6th. Follow “Backwater Bass Association” on FB for the drawing.

Is anyone managing the Backwater Bass Association FB page? I’ve been waiting a week for someone to accept my request to join.

Just a little update....

**First Tournament this Saturday, November 7th!!! We will go LIVE on FB Friday at 6pm to draw the lake. Once the lake is drawn, we will provide the fishing times, and boat ramp to meet at. There is a $60 membership fee for EACH angler. Tournament entry fee is $120 and optional $20 big bass. 100% payback on entry fee. Updated rules will be posted on the FB page and we will be handing out paper copies as well. Those of you that may not know, the club name has changed from "weatherford bass club" to "BACKWATER BASS ASSOCIATION" the Weatherford FB has been deleted, so go follow the Backwater Bass Association page and turn the notifications on so you get notified when we go live. We will also send a text message to everyone that provided their phone numbers at our first meeting. We will also be holding a meeting later this month. I will get the date set and let everyone know what date and time soon.

**Club Meeting**
Tuesday November 10th at 6:30 pm at Shep’s!
We will be meeting in the back room. There are several items to update the members on as well as new items to be discussed. And of course we will be discussing the date for next month’s tournament!!

Next tournament is December 5th. Facebook Live drawing of the lake will be December 4th at 6pm! Come join us!!!
