Lake Fork Anglers 5 Fish Limit results for 9.10.20 out of the SRA Park - 09/10/20 10:50 PM

Cool day and even though it was forecasted for rain it didn't But the rain suit cut down on that cutting north wind. Lots if fish were caught but most were fairly small. And a whole bunch of 9" dinks. Square bills, drop shots, T & C rigs They bit on everything.

Someone asked why we don't post pictures of our fish like other clubs do. Because we don't have real weighin's. We measure each fish caught with both anglers observing the length, record the length and put the fish back in the water on the spot. No fish riding around in a live well for 8 hours getting stressed out and possibly dying. We then bring our score sheets in and the length is converted to pounds. That is also why you see fish with the same weight a lot.

All fish 10" and up count as well as slot fish. Only their best 5 count.

Boaters

First Place went to Curt Blount of Lake Fork with 11 bass for 11.70 LB. and the boater lunker of 5.08 LB on a drop shot.
Second Place went to Galen Smith of Alba with 4 bass for 10.32 LB with a 4.22 LB lunker..
Third Place went to with Randy Bunch of Lake Fork 8 bass for 9.87 LB with a 2.13 LB. lunker.

Fourth Place went to Gary Gilmore of Ennis with 8 bass for 6.89 LB. with a 2.13 LB. lunker.
Fifth Place went to Rick Wright of Royce City with 6 bass for 6.07 LB with a 3.02 LB lunker..

We caught 144 keepers today which was more than last time with 0 skunks. Fish were caught from one foot to 30+.

The LFA fishes every Thursday except T-Day and Christmas on 2 different formats. A 5 fish limit we call LFA and a MLF style format where every fish counts we call Hard Core, 3 special tournaments and an end of year dinner. We are a club of 55+ seniors (Mostly) and are very liberal on members being for off vacations and medical issues.

Right now we are looking for more co-anglers. Bring your tackle and life vest and get to go out on Lake Fork for far less than you'd pay for a guide.
