Lake Fork Anglers 5 Fish limit results for 7.23.20 out of the SRA park. - 07/23/20 07:36 PM

After much discussion today regarding the uptick in the covid 19 pandemic we decided to keep fishing. Figuring that if we shut down again when would it be safe to start up? Wait for a cure or prevention shot? That might take us into 2021 or even later. As long as we continue to social distance and cover up we feel we will be safe.

Wind, wind, wind. No wait that was last time. This time no wind. Which meant when the sun got up full it was HOT!
Drop shots, c-rigs, and shaky heads won the day. Congrats to Dennis Bubinas for his 9.12 LB over.

All fish 10" and up count as well as slot fish. Only their best 5 count.

Boaters

First Place went to Tim Gold of Mineola with 9 bass for 11.10 LB. with a 7.15 LB lunker.
Second Place went to Jack White of Farmers Branch with 5 bass for 10.02 LB with a 3.78 LB lunker..
Third Place went to Curt Blount of Lake Fork with 13 bass for 9.24 LB with a 2.36 LB. lunker.
Fourth Place went to Dennis Bubinas of Lake Fork with 1 bass which is the boater lunker of 9.12 LB
Fifth Place went to Bob Roberts of Longview with 9 bass for 8.40 LB and a 2.74 LB lunker.

Co-Anglers

First Place went to Bob Lambert of Lake Fork with 5 bass for 9.04 LB. with a 3.36 LB. lunker.
Second Place went to Rick Wright of Royse City with 3 bass for 8.06 LB. with the co-angler lunker of 4.58 LB tie.
Third Place went to John Berech of Garland with 2 bass for 5.51 LB. with the co-angler lunker of 4.58 LB tie.
Fourth Place went to Alf Tuggle of Lake Cypress with 3 bass for 7.09 LB. with a 2.19 LB. lunker.
Fifth Place went to Jimmy Bright of Frisco with 1 bass for 3.46 LB.

We caught 56 keepers today which was less than half of last time with 2 skunks. Many of the fish were caught in deeper water than is usual for us.

The LFA fishes every Thursday except T-Day and Christmas on 2 different formats. A 5 fish limit we call LFA and a MLF style format where every fish counts we call Hard Core, 3 special tournaments and an end of year dinner. We are a club of 55+ seniors (Mostly) and are very liberal on members being for off vacations and medical issues.

Right now we are looking for more co-anglers. Bring your tackle and life vest and get to go out on Lake Fork for far less than you'd pay for a guide.
