Lake Fork Anglers Hard Core (MLF Format) for 6.18.20 out of the SRA park. - 06/18/20 09:54 PM
Today started out near perfect with light winds and fish biting, however the top water bite went away pretty fast. After that it was mainly drop shots, cs rigs and fish caught in deep water. Water temp in the mid 80's.
Hard Core is what we call this tournament, but it follows the Major League Fishing format where every fish you catch over 10" counts. With Lake Fork partitioned into three sections and the section rotates each week throughout the year.Today section 2 was scheduled. LFA Members will qualify for the semi-final in November by catching 6 lb. and attending at least 6 tournaments. Or fish 80% of the tournaments.
Boaters Results
1st place went to Don Overstreet of Sulphur Springs with 14 bass for 27.32 LB with a 4.22 LB lunker.
d place went to Charlie Abresch of Hawkins with10 bass for11.63 LB with a 2.88 LB lunker
3rd place went to Curt Blount of Lake Fork with 10 bass for 11.59 LB with a 2.74. LB lunker .
4th place went to Bob Roberts of Longview with 3 bass for 8.52 LB with the boater lunker of 4.40 LB lunker caught on a caught on a Carolina rig. .
5th place went to Galen Smith of Alba with 4 bass for 7.20LB with a 3.31 LB lunker.
Co-Angler Results
1st place went to Ken Kielbas of Arlington with 4 bass for 10.05 LB with the co-angler lunker of 5.58 LB caught on a T-rigged worm..
2nd place went to Jackie Price of Alba with 5 bass for 8.72 LB with a 3.36 LB lunker.
3rd place went to Jimmy Bright of Frisco with 3 bass for5.04 LB with a 2.25 LB lunker.
4th place went to Rick Wright of Royce City with 2 bass for 4.70 LB with a 3.70 LB lunker.
5th place went to Bob Lambert of Lake Fork with 3 bass for 4.45 LB with a lunker of 2.74 LB.
81 keepers were caught which down a bit since last week. Hot water fishing but most are still catching for fish from 1 to 4 feet of water.
The Lake Fork Anglers fish every Thursday throughout the year except Thanksgiving and Christmas on 2 different formats. Members are required to fish at least 8 of the Hard Core or LFA or any combination of tournaments to maintain membership. Dues is $5 a year and tournaments are $15.
