6 boats headed out onto the waters of Lake Fork for the final event of the season. The top 50% of the anglers who moved on after quailfying from the semi-final on 11.7.19.
Todays' weather was forcasted for rain and eventual storms. Fortuneatly the rain was not heavy and the winds were light. AND the fish were biting.

Hard Core is what we call this tournament, but it follows the Major League Fishing format where every fish you catch over 10" counts. With Lake Fork partitioned into three sections and the section available to fish unknown until the morning of. In two weeks when they fish the final only section 1 and 3 will be available to fish. 50% of the field or six boaters and 6 co-anglers will advance to the finals. Todays tournament was drawn as section 1.

Boaters Results

1st place went to Don Overstreet of Sulphur Springs with 11 bass for 15.22 LB with a 3.02 LB lunker caught on a black worm.
2nd place went to Dennis Bubinas of Lake Fork with 8 bass for 12.18 LB with the boater lunker of 4.31 LB caught on a hum dinger.
3rd place went to Bill Ailes of Sulphur Springs with 5 bass for 5.54 LB with a 1.82 LB lunker caught on a baby brush hog.
4th place went to Tim Gold of Mineola with 4 bass for 4.11 LB with a 1.14 LB lunker.
5th place went to Charlie Abresch of Hawkins with 1 bass for .61 LB.
6th place went to Terry Thompson of Sulphur Springs with 0 bass.


Co-Angler Results

1st place went to Ken Kielbas of Arlington with 4 bass for 11.10 LB with the co-angler lunker of 8.52 LB caught on a skinny dipper.
2nd place went to Jackie Price of Alba with 4 bass for 6.55 LB with a 1.14 lunker caught on a baby brush hog.
3rd place went to George Mc Cane of Dallas with 3 bass for 3.40 LB with a 1.87 LB lunker.
4th place went to Alf Tuggle of Trophy Club with 1 bass for 1.49 LB.
5th place went to Don Cox of Garland with 1 bass for .48 LB.
6th place went to Tom Whitrock of Lake Fork with 0 bass.

A total of 39 bass caught on a day when everyone says Fork is fishing tough. Yes it is but they prevailed anyway.

The Lake Fork Anglers fish every Thursday throughout the year except Thanksgiving and Christmas on 2 different formats. Members are required to fish at least 8 of the points tournaments to maintain membership. Dues is $5 a year and tournaments are $15.
