RHBC Monthly Meeting! Thursday October 10th! - 10/08/19 02:52 AM
The next meeting of the Ray Hubbard Bass Club will be this Thursday night, October 10th at Bass Pro Shops in Garland. We'll get started at 7:00PM on the patio. RHBC officers will be set up at a table to take memberships. Treasurer Cameron Laing, Secretary Robert Whitt and VP David Mulkey will be taking money and info from you and answering your questions. Membership costs a reduced $20.00 for the lateness of the year and one membership is good for your entire immediate family. Please keep in mind that if you are a new member, we are past the point in the year when you can fish enough tournaments to qualify for the Club Championship. If you are a new member, or a returning member whose info has changed, we will need you to fill out an information form. That way we can get you on the Club e-mail list. Everyone needs to sign the Sign In Sheet as each meeting you attend is worth 10 AOY points.
Topics will include results from our September tournament on Lake Ray Hubbard. Fishing was hit and miss on Mother Hubbard with some huge bags weighed in and some others who struggled. We had 36 boats, so if you finished high, you'll need to spill the beans to increase everyone's knowledge for Fish For A Cure! We will talk about our tournament this coming Saturday October 12th on Lake Tawakoni. If you have only fished four members only tournaments this year and want to fish the Championship, this is your last chance! We will launch from the Sky Point Park ramp. It's a $5.00 park use fee for everyone. Start time as dictated by our rules will be 7:05AM. We will be doing registration starting at 5:30AM and going to 6:30. All info can be found here in the Bass Clubs section. We will do Partner Finder for Tawakoni. If you can help or need a ride, please contact me. We will decide a finish time for our Club Championship on Bob Sandlin in November.
We will have sponsor packets for this years 4th Annual Fish For A Cure coming up on Sunday October 27th. If you or your company are interested in getting involved, please take home a packet and I can answer any questions you may have. Remember, any sponsorship or donation of at least $500.00 includes an entry in to the tournament! We are taking prize donations as well and I will have event flyers with me as well. Let us know if you can help! We will have other opportunities to help raise money for the American Cancer Society through our Club as well, and I will report on the successful auction and donation of my hair. It was donated to Wigs For Kids, for a pediatric cancer patient undergoing chemotherapy. Thank you to all that donated!
We'll be going over all details of this years FFAC as this is our last meeting before our signature event. Lots of volunteer opportunities even if you can't fish. There is plenty to do at registration AND weigh in. Come out RHBC! We need ya!
We'll do a quick review of our important November meeting. It's the last meeting of 2019. We will crown our AOY and select the lakes for 2020. We'll elect new Officers and vote on any Rules/By Laws changes brought to the table.
Lots to go over! Come out and have some fun with us! See you all on Thursday! PM or e-mail me at tomnali2@sbcglobal.net for more info or with questions.
