Lake Fork Anglers Hard Core (Major League Fishing format) is pretty cool getting to count every fish you catch.

As described below section 1 is all of Big Caney, Section 2 is from where section 1 ends and goes north to the FM 515 West bridge. Section 3 is everything from the 515 w bridge north.

Like the real TV show every fish over 10" counts. You must catch 6 LB + in one of the qualifying, and fish at least 6 tournaments to move into the semi-final. We set it low so most of our members would make to the second level. But there is three ways to qualify.
Sept 5th we fished section 2. We are now fishing our summer hours. 6:15 AM until noon to save our old brains from frying in the hot sun. Registration began at 6:00 AM and fishing started at 6:15 AM.

So how would you like to join us. We are looking for co-anglers to fish with boaters that know where to find the fish and we will teach you all about Lake Fork.

Fishing was much improved today with only one skunk. Once again there was at least one big fish caught. After all it is Lake Fork.

The winners catching all of their fish using c-rigs, t-rigs, wacky rigs and chicken rigs.
Most of todays bass were caught in 10 feet or less again.

Boaters:

First place went to John Berech of Garland with 5 bass for 8.85 LB. with the BOATER lunker of 4.87 LB caught on a wacky worm.
Second place went to Bob Roberts of Longview with 6 bass for 8.03 LB with lunker of 2.74 LB. caught on a c-rig.
Third place went to Bill Ailes of Sulphur Springs with 3 fish for 7.72 LB with a 3.64 LB lunker caught on a bladed jig.
Fourth place went to Jack White of Farmers Branch with 6 bass for 5.95 LB with a 1.67 LB lunker caught on a shakey head..

61 Total fish were caught today with 1 skunk.

For info on fishing this tournament and others put on by the Lake Fork Anglers contact me at sjbasser@gmail.com or PM me on here. We have openings for co-anglers right now in our 50 member club.. This is a club that fishes only on Thursday daytime. Dues are $5 a year. The money winners explain their techniques and baits for the benefit of the other members at the weighin.

All of our tournaments are priced for seniors as follows. $15 entry Payback of $12. Optional lunker pool 100% payback of $5. Optional 100% payback side pot for $10 per person.

In addition to this format that we call "Hard Core" we also fish our regular every other Thursday tournament all at Lake Fork on a draw style fishing. All of our tournaments "paper" the bass and slot fish count.

If you are as "Hard Core" as some of us you can fish 50 Thursdays a year like we do. And then Opens on the weekend. But you only really have to fish 8 regular LFA tournaments to maintain membership.
