RHBC Cypress Springs Results and Pictures! - 03/18/18 08:33 PM
The Ray Hubbard Bass Club had our second members only tournament on Cypress Springs lake last Saturday March 10th. There was rain in the forecast but it turned out to be a perfect day to fish. Fishing was really good. We had 43 teams come out and 27 brought five fish limits to the scales. Males made up most of what was brought in along with a few stocky spotted bass. Bigger females proved more elusive however but there were some. Big bass for the tournament was an 8.87 and there was another that went 8.54. When all the numbers came in it was the familiar team of Ronnie Manning and Capp Peace that came out with the narrow win with five for 17.21 pounds. Here are full results and pictures.
Friday night before the tournament there was a crawfish boil at Russell's house and a bunch came out to have fun and eat mud bugs. Our most congenial host is pictured here wearing shorts that match the color of his Phoenix nicknamed by me the Green Mamba. Ladies and gentleman, the King of Cypress Springs Lake, Russell Olds.
Kyle and Bruce Hay had two for 3.60
Here's David Burton with one of those chunky spots. He and Roddy Bieber weighed two for 3.94
Jason and Lisa Bell had four for 6.69
Paul Villarreal and Joe Ruiz had four for 7 even.
Jeff Hall and Carson Calvert weighed three for 7.48
Chris Lewis and Daniel Phillips had three for 8.20
David Mulkey and Tommy Yates had a limit for 8.73
