Hay Dillon. Nice job. Just lay a Chart. Prism eye in there to see what it looks like. I have found that some contrast really catches more fish. There is a lot of dark going on there already.
Thank you Mr. Harper. Yeah, I have to order some different eyes. I only ordered red because I didn't plan on painting any red baits to start. Can't wait to get it finished. I just hope I don't ruin it before its all said and done.
Not yet. I haven't touched it since that night. I am afraid I am going to screw it up. I just got my first airbrush for Christmas so I am going to get that set up and use it to paint that pattern on a new blank using the original as a reference. I will be sure to post updates. I really like this pattern for some reason so I will be putting in the time to perfect it and get quick at painting it.
Your "shop broom" stencil method creates a nice pattern...lots of options. Chartreuse and black might be a good pattern for this method. Very creative.
Still trying to get my shop back in order before painting again. I had to replace a blown head gasket and install head studs on my truck so things are a mess. I can't wait to try more of this technique.

Haha. I just couldn't stomach paying $2000 plus parts to have someone else do it. Luckily I ran across a pretty detailed how-to online and just jumped in! Picking up paint and some other odds and ends from Hobby Lobby tomorrow. Hopefully I can try everything out tomorrow evening.
I paint in my garage. I have a space heater in there.....
I tried a kerosene heater one winter and it warmed things up a lot but the shutdown was a pain. Switched to a propane heater and never looked back, its really small but it keeps the garage temp at around 70-75 degrees so spraying acrylic paint is no problem.
