I believe the Viper name is being used in regards to jigs.

It's a Custom mold Design for deep structure fishing they Don't roll side to side they always standup and are easily fished around all type of structure without a weed guard required. This particular jig head has been around since the late 70s early 80s and you can hand tie many types of skirt designs in Round Rubber and Silicone skirt material and several bucktail designs.

Looks really close to mine. I also have the Viper name registered as a jig and lure name.

I had mine in the 80's and we had several sources look all over to see if there was anything close before we marketed mine and NOT ONE was found anywhere by anyone.

As the internet came along we continued to search and for years finding nothing, then everyone jumped on the stand up head game.even people I trusted copied it.

My biggest mistake was using a popular jig/spinner bait pourer in Illinois . They sold copies of my molds and starting making molds for everyone and changing it up just a bit.

I can assure you those were not out when I came up with mine in the 80's. No one even tried very hard to make a head stand up.

My Patient Lawyer and I sued 2 copies that filed bankruptcy after we went after them. One bought a mold of mine threw the company that built my original mold.

Just thought I would throw this out there.

This jig mold was made for me by Larry McCain a prototype mechanist at JPL in 1971. I wanted a head to go through rocky structure and made to sketch.
1sr big bass was my PB NLMB at casitas in 1971 12.5 lbs. With a curl tail worm trailer and a garland spider skirt.
I used Pedigo pork rind trailers in Black,Purple,Brown and decided to tie up a bucktail hair in black back purple center and brown belly so I didn't have to tie on different jigs. The combination became known as the Anywhere Anytime jig.
And it's responsible for my top 5 FLMB since 1981 to 1993
18.6 lbs casitas 1981
3 17s in early to mid 80s
And my pb19.3 lbs casitas in 1991
This guy has wrote articles for In fishermen and Bass master magazines both
With diagrams of the jig head back in 1971 and also how to make your own pork rind on diagram
He in his early 80s now. And I'm in process of trying to purchase the mold from him now. I just got done tying up over 100 jigs in different styles and colors for him. He just got them in yesterday. He told me Casitas Casitas Casitas because of the color I sent him.

So yes that jig head he has been around since 1971
