I haven't fished PK in almost 2 months. Are the striper still hot there? I was thinking about making a trip out there within a week or so.

The fishing on PK has been real tuff to say the least. Fish are moving at mach 3 . It has been hit or miss for about 6 weeks. Live bait has not produced much for us. Have been in productive spots using live bait and witnessed schools of stripes swim by , a few will move to the bait , inspect and leave. Sand bass have been relative easy to find and ketch. On the water at 5 and off by 10. The stripes are boat spooked and one needs to use boards to keep the bait away from the boat !

Better get a guide. That said, I haven't seen a PK guide post in a long long time. I basically live on that lake and this has been a tough tough year for stripers for me. Bait is hard to find and even when I have shad I don't get stripers.
Crappie fishing and sandies have been really good.
Casey put us on some good ones yesterday!

Solid fish, Casey can put you on the fish, and has some productive spots. Look at the size of those mag sandies !

Hey guys Casey Armstrong here with Hooked Up Outfitters. First I would like to thank Scotty B Fishin' and Gborg ! Well August is here and yes it's hot and fish are moving fast. We fish primarily live bait and that in its self this time of year is a challenge i.e. Keeping it fresh. However the fish can be caught . Early morning and late afternoon is the best time and you don't have long to get it done. Fish are mid to lower lake, look for fish to feed on sand points near or in timber. Good luck guys and don't forget we can GET HOOKED UP! 9406598106 Facebook Hooked Up Outfitters

Typical of PK guides. The guides can find them almost all the time. If you don't fish PK all the time the fish will move and you'll be in for a just a nice hot boat ride. I've fished PK since 2011 at least 150 days a year and it's fished different every single year.
