It's been slow, slow, slow. You will mark fish north of the island and along long points, but they've been tight lipped lately. It was a different story up til a couple of weeks ago.

Any luck? Heading to Proctor on Monday (10th) to camp at Promontory and paddle around some. Hope to find some Striper or at least a Sandy or two.

I didn't spend too much time chasing the sandies but had a little bit of luck trolling on the south side of Promentory Point with white or shad colored crank baits. Just cruising the length of the land over all the points. The lake is full of shad of all sizes but didn't see any schooling fish at all. Good Luck

Thanks,CnR 08, That area will be my focus from the Kayak and maybe the bank, I'll need all the luck.

Well no luck at all. First time out on any lake when I didn't catch anything in 3 days of trying.
Didn't even see any kind of bass, striper, crapie. Saw lots of carp, catfish and gar dead and alive but nothing that would bite artificial. My fishing was limited to the bank and padding around in the kayak. Looking for a place to camp in the motorhome and catch fish before the wife gets tired of going.

Lake Leon isn't a bad choice either. Might be a little easier for a kayak

Went out last week and got 72 in 2 hours. They are indeed biting right now. Got them all in the same spot, north of island trolling over hump in about 10' water. Using diving lure that goes from 8-10'

Proctor is full of whites. Pain in the butt when fishing for hybrids!
