spawning sandbass at tawakoni

There must be a trillion white bass in Takakoni. We catch mostly 10 in throw backs in summer lot of fun but nothing big. This may be too much to ask but anyone know where these things spawn.? Figure mouths of big creeks are silted this year so not much running water. Thanks for any help

They spawn on wind blown points in pretty shallow water on main lake.

I would think that main lake would be easy pickins for spawn bass due to low levels!

Usually next weekend would be prime in creeks/rivers that feed Tawakoni but those have been nonexistent for a few years now. I would say main lake wind blown points should have plenty of BIG fish when you find them.

I used to catch the heck out of 'em in May off of Autumn Point. Other species too. Sometimes in a boat, sometimes from the bank.

I will make a few trips out there for sure!!

Chopper is helping all the sand bass spawn on Twak! He leaves Playboy Mags on each point!

Where is Autumn Point? I don't have a boat and would be interested in the bank fishing.

You might try Holiday marina, I don't know the name of the point that comes out of there but I see people bank fishing from it alot. There are a couple of good humps out from there that have good numbers of sandbass at times so maybe they will spawn on that point.

You will know when you find where Chopper left the mags. Your sonar will look like this.

Maybe you should fish standing up like the rest of us. Who knows, you might catch some fish & stop making bird nests.
