ANYONE BEEN TO CEDAR BLUFF JUST WONDERING IF YOU CAN WALK UP THE RIVER OR DO YOU NEED A BOAT PLANNED ON GOING SAT DAY MORNING BUT DONT HAVE A SMALL BOAT.
We went on Tuesday. The river was flowing but fishable. I guess they were releasing water from Granbury.
Anyhow, you can easily walk/wade up the north shore of the river. We saw several guys doing that and catching fish on Tuesday. A pair of chest waders would be helpful.
AT CEDAR BLUFF ARE THERE SAND BARS ALONG THE WAY OR IS THE WATER PRETTY MUCH ALL THE WAY ACROSS THE RIVER LIKE APRIL LAST YEAR. THE WATER TWO YEARS AGO WAS DOWN AND YOU COULD WALK ALL THE WAY UP TO THE FIRST BEND. I THOUGHT WITH THE WEEK BEING WARM AND THE WATER WAS LOW THERE WOULD BE SOME GOOD ACTION JUST NORTH OF CEDAR BLUFF.
fished there last tuesday. can walk the banks easily all the way to well above spring creek, not to easy to walk downstream, but could climb the fence at hamm creek and walk up from there.caught fish tuesday, suspect the are going to turn on there soon. check the corp of eng website click in brazos then gaging to find out what they are doing at the gaging station at hiway 67.
