Cedar Creek Friday, Sat and Sunday Feb 3-5. - 02/06/23 03:01 AM
Drove down early Friday morning form Dallas an dhitthe water about 9am and fished until 4:30. I had good friend and local guide Jason Barbe and his son Jacob and Jason's buddy Jeff along with me for the day. This was the best day on Cedar Creek I have seen in more than 8 years. Within the first hour we had 3 Hybrids all 25.5 inches and all about 9.25 lbs (we did weigh and measure them) in the boat along with a 24 and 23 incher. All totaled we caught 121 fish (50%Hybrids) from 9-1pm. After dropping off the first crew of guys I went and picked up a good friend of mine from Deer Island and we fished from 2-5pm We caught another 42 fish ( 40% Hybrids) to finish out the day. These past 3 days have been perfect for the Winter Deadstick bite! All fish beingcaught in depths from 32-58 ft with fish suspended at 24-30 ft. Water Temps 48 degrees. Saturday and Sunday was much of the same as we fished from 8-5pm on Saturday and caught 158 (40% Hybrids) and on Sunday fished from 8:30-11:30 and caught 70 (50% Hybrids).
